(1924-2005)

Maya Kuzminichna Kopitseva was born May 18, 1924 in the town of Gagri, Abkhazia, USSR.
In 1951 Maya Kopitseva graduated from the Repin Institute of Arts in Boris Ioganson workshop.
She studied of Boris Fogel, Leonid Ovsiannikov, Alexander Zaytsev.
Since 1951 Maya Kopitseva has participated in Art Exhibitions.
She painted still-lifes, portraits, genre scenes, etudes done from nature.
Maya Kopitseva most famous for her paintings of still life in exterior and interior.
She was a member of Leningrad Union of Artists since 1951.
In 2001year, Maya Kopitseva was awarded the honorary title of the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (2001).
Maya Kuzminichna Kopitseva died in Saint Petersburg in 2005.
