Litvinsky Piotr Petrovich
(1927-2009)

Piotr Petrovich Litvinsky was born November 22, 1927 in the Leningrad.
In 1955 Piotr Litvinsky graduated from the Repin Institute of Arts in Rudolf Frentz workshop.
He studied of Piotr Belousov, Ivan Stepashkin, Ivan Sorokin.
Since 1952 Piotr Litvinsky has participated in Art Exhibitions.
He painted portraits, historical and genre pictures, landscapes, still-lifes, cityscapes.
Piotr Litvinsky was a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1955.
Piotr Litvinsky taught at the Vera Mukhina Higher School of Art and Industry (1962-1979), in Alexander Hertzen Pedagogical Institute (1979-1984).
In years 1984-1986, Piotr Litvinsky taught in Vasily Surikov Institute in Moscow, then in Ilya Glazunov Academy of Arts (since 1987) .
The Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1996).
Piotr Petrovich Litvinsky died in Moscow in 2009.
Paintings by Piotr Litvinsky reside in Art Museums and private collections in the Russia, Spaine, France, in the U.S., Japan, Italy, and throughout the world.
