Балунин Михаил Абрамович родился в 1875г. в Петербурге.
Учился в Рисовальной школе ОПХ (1890-е гг.)
На выставках «Общества русских акварелистов», «Петроградского общества художников» и др. экспонировались его работы (масло, акв.).
Произведения Балунина воспроизводились в журнале «Нива» с 1907 г.
Его произведения хранятся во многих региональных музеях, а также в частных собраниях.
