Ivan Grigorievich Savenko was born January 17, 1924 in the village of Varvarovka, Chernigov Province, Ukraine, USSR.
In 1950 Ivan Savenko graduated from Kiev Art Institute in Grigory Svetlitsky workshop.
In 1950-1954 he studied as post-graduate student in Ilya Repin Institute in Alexander Gerasimov workshop.
Master of Art-criticism (1954).
Since 1950 Ivan Savenko has participated in Art Exhibitions.
He painted landscapes and genre paintings, portraits, sketches from the life.
Personal exhibition of Ivan Savenko was in Moscow in 1990.
Ivan Savenko was a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1952.
A Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1975).
Ivan Grigorievich Savenko died in Leningrad in 1987.
