Живописец. Учился в иконописной мастерской Мануйлова (Псков, 1913), на мозаичном отделении Пск. худ.-промышленной школы им. Н.Ф. Фан-дер-Флита (1914-1920), в Гос. мастерских декоративного искусства (бывш. училище А.А. Штиглица, 1921), на живописном фак-те ВХУТЕИНа в СПб. у А.Е. Карева (1922-1926). Чл. Творческого объединения пек. художников. Участник выставок с 1920. Чл. об-ва «Круг художников» (1926). Участник выставок л-дских художников. Творческое наследие И. хранится в ГРМ и в фондах Пск. музея-заповедника (живопись и графика 1920-1940-х).
