Malish Gavriil Kondratievich
(1907-1998)

Gavriil Kondratievich Malish was born March 25, 1907 in Kitaygorodka village near Ekaterinoslav, Ukraine, Russian Empire.
In 1934 Gavriil Malish graduated from Odessa Art Institute, pupil of A. Gaush and T. Fraermann.
Since 1954 he has participated in Art Exhibitions.
Gavriil Malish was a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1955.
He painted landscapes, still-lifes, worked as easel painter and graphic artist.
His personal exhibitions were in Leningrad (1975, 1976, 1977, 1985, 1988), Saint-Petersburg (1996, 1997), and Stockholm (1991).
Gavriil Kondratievich Malish died in Saint Petersburg in 1998.
Paintings by Gavriil Malish reside in State Russian Museum, in the lot of Art Museums and private collections in the Russia, France, Finland, in the U.S., Germane, Japan, and throughout the world.
