Boris Ivanovich Shamanov was born September 15, 1931 in the Leningrad, USSR.
In 1956 Boris Shamanov graduated from the Higher School of Art and Industry named after Vera Mukhina, in Alexander Kazantsev workshop.
He studied of Piotr Buchkin, Alexei Sokolov, Sergei Petrov, Kirill Iogansen.
Since 1957 Boris Shamanov has participated in Art Exhibitions.
He painted portraits, still-lifes, genre scenes, landscapes.
Personal Exhibitions of Boris Shamanov was in Leningrad in 1986.
Boris Shamanov was a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists since 1960.
In years 1960-2008, Boris Shamanov taught in the Higher School of Art and Industry named after Vera Mukhina. Professor of painting since 1988.
A Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1984). Peoples\' Artist of Russian Federation (1995).
Boris Ivanovich Shamanov died in Saint Petersburg in 2008.
